Barbara Miley is a dual board certified nurse practitioner in the specialties of both family practice (FNP-C) and acute care practice (AGACNP-BC). Her initial seven years practicing as an RN (beginning in 2003) focused on critical care nursing, which built a solid foundation for her later career growth in becoming a nurse practitioner. While Barbara initially practiced as a cardiology nurse practitioner in 2010, she later made the switch to nephrology in 2011 as a nurse practitioner with North Atlanta Kidney Specialists, P.C., working closely alongside Dr. Elizabeth Nguyen ever since that time. Barbara is extremely passionate about her role as a nephrology nurse practitioner, and makes it a priority to provide the highest quality of care to each and every patient. An Atlanta native (born and raised), Barbara and her husband have two sons, and a recently adopted rescue dog. She enjoys spending time with her family, including exploring new adventures with her youngest son, and cheering on her older son at various volleyball tournaments throughout the southeast.
